Example of Text Version of Digital Newsletter

Example of text version of digital newsletter This image shows the text version of a newsletter, which was sent through the Vertical Response system.

Notice that the "nnfp" in the top line is not capitalized. That is because in the original version, the CSS style automatically capitalizes text in that style. When the text was moved to the text version, it lost the formatting, and hence, the capitalization. This is an example of things that need to be proofed when you put your newsletter into a different system.

Choose carefully, when you are choosing what to capitalize. if you capitalize too many items, it will lose it's attention-getting ability.

Line breaks can be used effectively to delimit parts of the newsletter.

The bulleting from the original HTML version was converted by the Vertical Response system in to a tab and asterik.

One thing that does work automatically, in most email programs, is that links are hyperlinked, but notice that the full address has to be there. So, the words "Register Here" aren't linked, the actual address is!
